What is Acqualaï?
Founded in 2020 by Giuditta Rossetti, Acqualaï is a Made in Italy beauty line with an innovative approach to daily sun protection and skincare routine. Through carefully developed textures, a distinctive palette, and names inspired by beloved Italian islands, the brand tells the story of the lightness and elegance of La Dolce Vita with a modern, design-conscious vision.

What does it mean that Acqualaï is “safe for the planet”?
“Safe for the planet” means that Acqualaï is created with care for both the skin and the environment. Our sunscreens with mineral filters are formulated with ingredients selected to be respectful of marine ecosystems, using Zinc Oxide as the sole UV filter.

What is the difference between mineral and chemical SPFs?
Mineral SPFs use filters, such as Zinc Oxide, that remain on the surface of the skin and help protect it from UV rays by acting like a mirror, without penetrating deeply. Chemical SPFs, on the other hand, use filters that absorb UV rays, generating a so-called “chemical reaction” that protects the skin from the sun. Acqualaï only uses non-nano Zinc Oxide as UV filter, chosen for its gentle feel on the skin and for a more mindful approach to the sea.

Are your formulas free from sulfates, parabens, and silicones?
Yes. Our formulas are free from sulfates, parabens, and silicones: only the essential for the skin and respectful of the environment.

Are your products vegan and clean?
Yes. Acqualaï products are vegan and formulated with high-quality, carefully selected ingredients. Our mineral formulas avoid unnecessary or controversial substances, making them clean, effective, and conscious.

Do you test on animals?
No. We do not test on animals.

Are the products recyclable?
Yes. Our packaging is designed with circularity in mind. Acqualaï uses aluminum tubes, a material that is infinitely recyclable when properly disposed of, and glass bottles, helping to reduce waste and environmental impact.

Are Acqualaï sunscreens suitable for acne-prone skin?
Yes. Our lightweight mineral formulas are designed for daily protection, including for acne-prone skin, thanks to Zinc Oxide, which has anti-inflammatory properties. When acne is present, sunscreen is essential, as sun exposure can make post-blemish marks appear more noticeable. Acqualaï protects the skin with a comfortable, non-heavy feel.

Which products help protect against blue light?
All of them protect the skin from blue light, also known as HEV, thanks to its 100% mineral formula with Zinc Oxide, which provides complete broad-spectrum sun protection against UVA, UVB, and HEV. Lightweight and nourishing, it is designed for daily use and combines protection and skincare benefits in one single step.
